Vacancy in brief

As an experienced exterior interior designer, you will work side by side with our team to install luxury interiors on site. You will have the opportunity to work on world-class projects, using your craftsmanship to bring our clients' vision to life. Whether it's a new construction project or a refit.

About the position

As an experienced exterior interior designer at Avenue 44 Yacht Interiors, you will work with your colleagues to provide our superyachts with high-quality interiors. You build together and solve onboarding challenges. As a foreman, you provide leadership to your co-workers/recruiters as you work along. You consult with your executor.

From production you will receive the items that make up the luxurious interior of a luxury yacht. As an experienced exterior interior designer, you will be part of the exterior team working on a construction number. In this you will work closely with the Foreman/Operator of the respective construction number and he/she will guide you during the construction process. Your job is to ensure that the interior is built to the specified quality standard.

As an interior designer, you see to it that order and cleanliness are maintained, quality is achieved and your people are pleasantly managed. You are willing to travel and stay on location.

In summary, you will be responsible for:

  • Actively participating within the outside shift team.
  • Performing your work within the quality standard established for it.
  • To continuously improve one's own work, work processes and product quality.
  • Overseeing safety, order and cleanliness.

We ask

You are professionally strong. You have experience in fitting (ship) interiors. (Digital) Drawing reading and being able to execute is a strong plus for this role, training for this may be available. You work pleasantly together and identify potential bottlenecks within the (field service) team. Proficiency in the Dutch language is a requirement. In terms of personality, you always strive for high quality and have "always improving" as a high priority.

Summary

  • You have MBO working and thinking level
  • Several years of experience as a cabinetmaker/carpenter
  • You preferably have knowledge of the luxury yacht interior design and/or furniture industry;
  • Skilled insight
  • Knowledge of-and experience with (Digital) drawing reading and installation of yacht interiors.
  • You have a good command of the Dutch language and can make yourself understood in English.
